West Space Online Mental Health Resource West Lothian 

What is West Space?

West Space is an online mental health and wellbeing resource specifically designed for people living or working in West Lothian. 

Key functions

  • It provides a directory of local services: users can search for support by type (e.g., counselling, peer-support, advocacy), audience (e.g., carers, students), age group, and area within West Lothian.  

  • It offers self-help materials and guides: including free & low-cost counselling, apps for mindfulness, CBT resources, information for children & young people, and practical support (housing, money etc.).  

  • It promotes positive mental health and wellbeing activities: via connecting people to local activities/places, encouraging the “Five Ways to Wellbeing”, and providing seasonal or thematic content (e.g., winter wellbeing).  

  • It serves as a platform for awareness and support: offering “Need help now” sections, service directory, and sign-posting for more intensive help (including crisis support).
